Founded in 1967, Wycliffe Associates is a Christian nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating Bible translation so that people everywhere can access Scripture in the language of their heart. For more than five decades, Wycliffe Associates has worked alongside local churches, national Bible translators, and supporters around the world to help make God's Word available to every language community.

Wycliffe Associates is known for its Church-Owned Bible Translation model, which empowers local congregations to guide, oversee, and protect translation efforts within their own communities. Rather than relying solely on outside experts, the organization equips native speakers (known as Mother Tongue Translators) with training, technology, resources, and support to translate Scripture accurately and efficiently. Because these translators understand the language and culture firsthand, they are uniquely positioned to produce meaningful and accessible Bible translations.

The organization provides a wide range of services, including translation workshops, software tools, logistics assistance, networking opportunities, discipleship programs, and church-planting support.
